About the Founder
John Annable, affectionately known as “Karate John”, is the owner of Karate John’s Martial Arts Center: a 10,500sq ft state-of-the-art martial arts school in Cicero, New York.
Karate John’s has a second satellite martial arts studio in Liverpool, NY that opened in December of 2019.
He was employed by McLane Co (Baldwinsville, NY) for 20 years in addition to network marketing and selling insurance. He is a member of the United States Ju Jitsu Federation and the Modern Kenpo Karate Association. He is currently an 8th Degree Black Belt and holds ranks in Judo and Ju Jitsu.
Karate John has been named USJJF Coach of the Year, Business of the Year by the Cicero Chamber of Commerce and featured in Martial Arts Success magazine.
Karate John’s Martial Arts Center was also the recipient of the Mark of Excellence Award by the Martial Arts Industry Association.
Mr. Annable and his team were recognized for high quality martial arts instruction and outstanding service to the community. He has a passion for developing leadership skills in his staff and students.
In addition to martial arts, Karate John enjoys travelling and boating with his family. Mr. Annable resides in Cicero, NY with his wife. He has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
